FC ABBEY Meads Colts U18s moved into the final of the North Wilts Youth League Cup with a 3-2 victory over Stratton Juniors at Calne’s Beversbrook facility.

Meads started well, controlling the play as Alfie West opened the scoring with a superb overhead kick after a scramble.

Mason Lach doubled the advantage moments later with a powerful header from a perfectly-positioned corner from Matty Grabe.

Stratton hit back before half-time and squeezed an equaliser midway through the second half.

But Meads’ Matty Grabe sent in a perfect cross to Lach who headed the winner, Meads booking a place in the final against Chiseldon on the weekend of May 21/22 at the County Ground.

Northside U15s kept their double dreams alive after beating Stratton in a competitive semi final.

Kain Chivers opened the scoring for Northside after good work from Connor Robb.

Stratton levelled just after half-time before Ben Paul restored Northside’s lead.

Hassan Gedi then set up Paul for his second of the match, with Brandon Lewis and Jamie Harrison both enjoying outstanding games for Northside In U14 Division One, Highworth Town Juniors slipped to a 5-1 defeat at Castle Combe Colts, Andy Smith scoring an equaliser for the away side in the first half.
