SWINDON Supermarine boss Dave Webb says he can’t ask for much more going into this weekend’s FA Cup third qualifying round clash with Paulton Rovers.

Not only do Marine have home advantage, Webb’s side are also in great form as Tuesday night’s 2-0 triumph at Salisbury signalled 10 games unbeaten.

With eight wins and two draws in that run, Supermarine sit third in the Southern League West standings and are the only side in the division yet to lose a game.

Going into tomorrow’s tie at the Webbswood Stadium, Webb admits he is having everything his own way, but has reiterated his team cannot take their eye off the ball.

“It has been a fantastic effort from all the players, culminating in a trip to a really good Salisbury side and coming away with a win and a clean sheet,” said Webb.

“We have put ourselves in a good position but we have another weekend now where we don’t play a league game, so teams will move above us.

“Saturday is massive for us. We asked for a draw at home and for a team who are similar level to us.

“The game ticks both of those boxes so we can’t ask for much more, I think the biggest thing I’ve got to do is make sure everyone comes down after the elation of Tuesday.

“Some of them might think we are never going to lose a game, but that time will come, it’s just important it doesn’t happen on Saturday.

“We really want to progress in this competition.

“If we win on Saturday we are one win away from a league club.

“Everything is set up for us. We just need to really focus on Paulton and not look too far ahead, because when we do that is when we’ll lose.

“This game on Saturday is important, we couldn't go into it in better form.”

With two games in four days, Webb will have some thinking to do as Supermarine look to navigate through a few injury problems.

Striker TJ Bohane, who re-joined the club in the summer, looks set to miss the cup clash as he continues to struggle with a finger injury.

Josh Parsons played with a knock on Tuesday night and will be assessed ahead of the weekend, Aaron Woodley missed Tuesday’s game altogether with a tight hamstring but is expected to return.
