Swindon Spitfires’ good form continued this weekend with an impressive 4-1 win away at St Nicholas Reserves in the South West Women’s Regional League Eastern Division.

Spitfires were ahead inside three minutes when Charley Reynolds’ through ball found Katie Wadey, who struck past the stranded keeper.

Spitfires’ second goal came in the 16th minute as captain Claire Moreton’s pass allowed Wadey to complete her brace.

Four minutes later, Spitfires added a third goal following a 35-yard strike from Laura Stallar, before Skye Peters netted another for the visitors on 24 minutes.

St Nicholas were able to cut the arrears from the penalty spot 10 mintues before the end of the half.

In the second half, Spitfires continued to dominate but were unable to convert any of their chances to add to their tally.
