CK SCAFFOLDS maintained their lead at the top of Swindon Sunday League Division One with a 3-0 victory over AFC Gas.
The victory keeps them eight points clear of Greyhound, who kept the pressure on with an impressive 13-1 victory over and out of form Coleshill, who remain firmly rooted to the bottom.
In the only other Division One game this week Penhill secured a much needed 5-2 victory over The Dolphin, who stay second bottom.
In Division Two, lowly Dorcan Old Boys put in a superb display as they travelled to leaders Rodbourne and held them to a 3-3 draw.
Second placed Inter Sandgate were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by SKS Blyskawica, and Coleview took advantage to close the gap to only two points with a superb 3-2 victory over Wanborough.
There were only two games in Division Three, but Halcrow closed the gap on leaders Fox & Hounds Martcom to only three points with a 5-1 hammering of Dynamo Aston. Pig on the Hill beat DLGC FC 4-1.
Third placed Wheatsheaf shocked second placed Patheon as they secured an impressive 7-2 away win, and in the process closed the gap between the two sides to only two points in the Division Four. Wheatsheaf have a game in hand on Patheon, but Roughmoor Rangers failed to close the gap on both sides as they lost 3-1 at Tawny Owl.
AFC Royston are still without a point this season after suffering another heavy defeat, this time losing 7-0 at the hands of Rodbourne Real.
Red Lion stamped their dominance on Division Five with a faultless 8-0 victory over The Rat Trap, and Olympic Roofing kept the pressure on the league leaders beating Lamb Marlborough 7-1 to keep the gap at six points with four games in hand.
In a high scoring week, Woodlands Edge caused something of a surprise beating Chiseldon Sunday 9-3, and Nationwide and FC Parks played out a stunning 4-4 draw.
In the week’s other game, FS Swindon beat Nationwide Pavilion 3-0.
The one game in Division Six saw Trak Employment beat Oak Furniture Land 4-1, while KC Globe FC were knocked out of the Wiltshire Sunday Cup by Division Seven leaders Urban Allstars after losing 5-2.
Swindon Asians took advantage of the fact Allstars were without a game to close the gap at the top to only two points as they beat Rosier Rovers 3-0.
Gorsehill Borough put in a superb display to beat Rug Shack 12-4 away from home, and Wroughton beat Nine Elms United 4-1.
