NORTH BERKS: Coleshill fail to cause an upset

COLESHILL United could not cause an upset in the fifth round of the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup at the weekend.

They fell to a 6-1 defeat against Ardington & Lockinge with Richard Evans hitting a consolation.

Faringdon Town remained level on points with Crowmarsh Gifford at the top of the North Berks League Division One after winning at Drayton.

Strikes from Derren Harrington and Gary Sutton gave them a 2-0 win on away soil.

In Division Two, Alex Smith, Adrian Mooney and Steve Rackham scored for Lambourn Sports Reserves in their 3-1 home win over Benson Lions.

Shrivenham A and Blewbury shared a 4-4 draw in Division Three with Sam Roberts (2), John Gosling and Adam Rudman netting for Shrivvy.

Faringdon Town Reserves triumphed 4-3 at home to Hagbourne United as Josh Forth, Ben Henley, Phil Thompson and James Tyler all registered for the hosts.

A Matt Curtis effort could not prevent a 2-1 loss for Faringdon Town A against Marcham Reserves in Division Four West.

Coleshill United Reserves won 3-1 at home to Appleton Stars with Martin Collier (2) and Pete Fletcher on the scoresheet.
