TENACIOUS non-league outfit Swindon Supermarine have received support from an unlikely source ahead of their FA Cup second round trip to Colchester United.
Bolton and England striker Kevin Davies has given his backing to the South Marston side on social networking site Twitter, with the Trotters skipper tweeting: “Come on SupermarineFC, this is your year!!”.
Supermarine opened a Twitter account on Sunday, a day after they shocked Eastwood Town 2-1 at the Webb’s Wood Stadium in the first round proper, as Ashan Holgate and Ben Wells put them through to the next round.
