THE start of the Swindon and District Air Rifle League saw no less than eight possibles (60 point maximums) scored in the Tunley Shield.
Robert Ellis, of VWH Cricklade, won 105-102 on outward scoring after he and Carl Smith (Lambourn C) both notched a brace of possibles for an aggregate score of 120 each.
The other possible scorers were Leaha Micklewright (Lambourn C), Paul Swanston, Chris Elliott and Don Franklin (all VWH Cricklade).
The other winners were Mick Ash (VWH Cricklade), Adam Rogers (Gas Club), Tom Nelson (Brown Jack) and Dennis Goringe (NALGO & CS). Mary Harberd of Brown Jack won the Ernie Jones Shield.
The competition was held at the Lambourn Sports Club.
