THE Wiltshire County Championships at Sarum Academy, Salisbury saw Swindon Fencing Club clinch the U14, U12 and U10 titles for both boys and girls.

An all-Swindon boys under 14 final saw Ewan Young edge out clubmate Lewis Simpson 10-3.

The boys Under 12 final was another all-Swindon affair with Ben Simmonds winning a hard-fought final against Sam Ede 6-2.

The third all-Swindon final saw Cador Beautyman continue his success in the boys under 10s.

After avenging a previous 10-3 defeat in the Southern Regional finals against Swindon’s Ethan Teale 10-9 in the semi final, he clinched a 10-6 success over James Pitman.

In the girls competition, Alice Fletcher won gold and Niamh Preston claimed bronze in the under 10 age group with Hannah Keighley finishing fourth in her first time at the championships.

The Under 12 girls competition saw a clean sweep for Swindon, with gold for Southern Region champion Elysia Bidgood, silver for Abigail Lessels and Lara Capps bronze. Alicia Owen came fourth and Elizabeth Peach fifth.

Under 12 boys: Charlie Robbins 3rd, Edward Scott-Payne 5th, Oliver Findlay 7th, Morgan Cole 10th (Under 12 Plate winner), Thomas Cole 11th (silver in the plate competition). Oliver Hodgson 12th, (bronze in the plate competition), Rory Stocks 13th, Daniel Winsor 14th, Callum Wray 15th.

Under 14 boys: Toby Archard 8th (bronze in the Plate), Adam Steinmetz 9th (silver in the Plate)
