MIXED martial arts will be back with a bang in Swindon tonight when Raged UK bring another show to the town.

Promoter Gary Turland has promised a knockout night of action when some of the South West’s top fighters do battle at MECA this evening.

“It’s the biggest MMA show there’s been in the area. We’ve got some really good fighters and some really popular guys from the area,” said Turland.

“The good thing is that it’s not just a local show anymore. We have got fighters from all over the country and interest from overseas now too.

“It’s going to be a great night. We’ve got 11 bouts in total, so there’s going to be plenty of action.”

Alex Brunnen takes on Guy Lewis in the headline fight of the night when they battle it out for the vacant Raged lightweight title.

Phil Wells will pit his wits against Shane Riley and Chippenham Town goalkeeper Kent Kauppinen will be donning gloves of a different kind in his duel with Jon Stone.

The show will also be the first to feature a female bout when Emma Delaney faces off against LJ Adams.

“Alex and Guy are two that have fought already, so it’s going to be great to see them go at it again in a cage, with the title on the line,” added Turland.

“And we’ve also got the first female bout on one of our shows, which we’re looking forward to. Hopefully, it’s the first of many.

“People are not sure about MMA but if they just try it, I can guarantee they will like it and have a really great night.”
