FAIRFORD A started shakily against a young Pinehurst C team in Division Two, Pinehurst taking an early lead.

However, Fairford steadied themselves and had a small lead by the end of the first quarter.

Led by captain Lizzy Valentine, Fairford eventually managed a convincing 58-29 win.

Nationwide B and Moredon B played out another tight contest, with Nationwide coming out on top 34-33.

Nationwide trailed by six goals at half time, but changes in the third quarter helped them overturn the margin and pull away in the final quarter.

Centre Effie Bond was Nationwide’s player of the match.

Lawn B played leaders Abbey Meads A, with the sides locked at 12-12 at the end of the first quarter.

Meads began to pull away in the second half to win 62-33, with goal shooter Abby Simpson being Lawn’s player of the match.

Division Three league leaders Lawn C produced another faultless performance against Moredon C, Jossie White being named player of the match.

Lawn D beat Ferndale convincingly 42-15 in Division Four with their player of the match being goal shooter Cath Bull.

Nationwide C started off strongly against Raychem D, taking a three-goal lead at the end of the first quarter.

But they were unable to maintain the momentum, despite centre Laura Woodman putting in a player of the match display.

In Division One, Raychem B edged out Lawn A 40-38, despite a player of the match effort from Lawn’s goal shooter Holly Thompson.

Lawn E took the lead from the first whistle against Abbey Meads E in their Division Five clash and went on to secure a convincing 50-11 triumph, with the player of the match award given to wing attack Ellie Holloway.
