SWINDON Ladies scored a magnificent seven to wrap up the West Premier League 2A title in style and secure promotion for next season.

In their final match of the current campaign, Swindon dominated opponents City of Bath from start to finish to run out emphatic 7-0 winners on the road and finish four points clear of nearest rivals Newent at the top of the table.

Swindon coach Craig Sage said: “The team thoroughly deserve this victory and promotion. Our thanks go to Charlie George, Rachel King and Gael Little who depart to university next year.”

The visitors broke the deadlock inside three minutes when Chloe Lewis followed up her own penalty corner strike to fire the ball past the keeper.

Adrianna Bollousa then scored a stunning second goal when she smashed a shot into the roof of the net.

Bollousa was also pivotal for Swindon’s third after a run and shot was followed up by Vicky Stokes, who found the target from close range.

The second half was a repeat of the first as Swindon’s fourth goal came when Charlie George tapped in following a run from the Bollousa.

The fifth goal was a well-crafted effort built from the back as Rachel King’s pass found Stokes to net her second of the game.

In the final 10 minutes, Linda Brouwers powered into the circle from a quick free hit to make it 6-0 and Swindon’s rout was complete when a penalty corner drag flick from teenager Lewis flew in.
