SWINDON Shock have a top of the table clash today as they welcome RCT Gladiators to New College (2pm).

Both sides possess perfect records in the National South West Division Four, with Shock currently on top of the standings as the visitors have played a game less.

Aware of the importance of the game, David Colclough’s players have put more hours in on the practice court.

“It’s a big clash some of the guys have asked for an extra shooting night, we trained on Tuesday which was a really good and intense session,” said player-coach Colclough.

“When we train we will work on things that went wrong, what went right and what we could improve on, the players had an extra shooting session on Thursday to make sure they’re ready.”

Colclough’s side recorded a 82-78 win at Woking Blackhawks last time out, but haven’t faced RCT Gladiators before.

“We do know some of their players because some of our players have played with them in Cardiff,” added Colclough.

“We haven’t be able to see them, so we are going on word of mouth at the moment.

“The winner has an open track to winning the league, but if you lose then you are expected to go there at the end of the season and win.”
