AFTER winning the Hel Performance Motostar British Championship, Swindon teenager Charlie Nesbitt is already looking ahead to the new year.

The 15-year-old, after winning the title last month, was invited to attend the Red Bull Rookies Cup selection event. Nesbitt competed alongside 117 other riders from around the world and was one of only 11 riders to be selected.

Nesbitt has also just completed a one day test in Valencia for the Monlau Competición Team.

Afterwards the teenager said, “The set-up was out of this world. The team couldn’t have been any friendlier, and they helped me with everything I needed help with and more. The experience was just amazing.”

Having signed for e3 motorsport/Redline KTM November last year, Nesbitt took the Motostar championship by storm, claiming the title with four races to spare.

Nesbitt had to wait until March before he could actually ride his Kalex KTM bike and he enjoyed a fine streak that saw him go on a run of 12 wins from 13 races.

The Swindon youngster ended the season with a massive 112-point lead over his nearest rival.
