SWINDON Shock will look to keep up their impressive home form as they welcome Woking Blackhawks to New College today.

David Colclough’s side are currently second in the National League Division Four, level on points with leaders RCT Gladiators.

Shock were without a fixture last weekend but recorded their seventh win of the season earlier this month when they emphatically brushed Oxford Stealers aside 84-52.

The New College side have enjoyed a relatively clean bill of health so far this term, with them only suffering minor injuries to both Colclough and Lee Hobbis, who have struggled with ankle and arm problems respectively.

However, ahead of this weekend’s fixture, Shock have been dealt an injury blow as Rafal Ciechacki and Spencer Wells are both unlikely to feature against struggling Blackhawks.

Despite the duo being on the sidelines, Colclough remains positive ahead of the match.

“We have got some concern with this game. We have lost Rafal Ciechacki to an achillies tear on Tuesday and now Spencer Wells is out with an illness,” said the Shock player-coach.

“However, the team we are taking has two new players in Matt Ford and point guard Antonio Wilburn, which gives us a boost.”
