WILTSHIRE competitors Laura Halford and Stephani Sherlock have been selected to represent Great Britain at next month's 2017 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Hungary.

Cricklade's Halford, 21, and 20 year old Sherlock, who trains with the Esprit club in Swindon will compete for their country in Budapest on May 19-21.

Commonwealth Games silver medallist and three-time British all-around champion Halford claimed gold in the hoop, ribbon and club disciplines at the Rhythmic Open Apparatus Championships in Stoke-on-Trent last month.

Sherlock won the all-around domestic championship in 2016.
