SKATER HOCKEY: Flames training at Highworth
SWINDON Flames Skater Hockey Club will hold an open session for juniors (16+) and seniors (18+) at the Highworth Rec tomorrow night (Friday, April 13).
The session takes place from 8-9pm and is open to all. The cost is £5 and will be free for goalkeepers.
This will represent a return to its roots for both the club and the sport as Wroughton Street Hockey team, the Red Hawks, who were believed to be the first in-line hockey team in the Swindon area, used Highworth Rec as a training venue back in 1990.
