CRICKLADE'S Laura Halford secured a silver medal on the final day of the rhythmic gymnastics competition at the Commonwealth Games in Australia today.
Halford, representing Wales, finished as runner up in the individual hoop final at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre on the Gold Coast, to clinch her fourth Commonwealth Games medal.
The 22 year old, who won team silver and two individual bronze medals in Glasgow four years ago, recorded a score of 14.000 to finish behind Cypriot competitor Diamanto Evripidou.
Evripidou also won the ball final, in which Halford narrowly missed out by finishing in fourth place, as she also did in the ribbon individual final.
