WROUGHTON amateur Sue Lyons has qualified for the regional final of the Audi Quattro Cup later this summer.

Playing the Inchape South West Audi Invitational event staged at Bowood Golf and Country Club, Lyons scored 35 stableford points which was enough to book her place in the final All the top finishers from the event, which was supported bt Swindon Audi, will now pair up in a Regional Final at St Pierre Golf Club in Chepstow on August 7.

Lyons will now compete in one of seven regional finals which take place in July and August with the top 18 pairs going forward to compete in the Audi Quattro UK Cup Final staged at Bowood on September 4.

The top pairs from the grand final will then go on to represent Great Britain in the Audi Quattro Cup World Final staged at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai from December 7-11.

The Audi Quattro Cup, being staged for the 24th year, is the world’s largest amateur golf competition with over 100,000 players from over 50 countries competing for a place in the week-long World Final.
