MARTIN Sell secured a top three finish after carding a five-under-par final round in the Jamega Tour tournament at Warwickshire Golf Club.

The Wrag Barn pro finished the first day in Warwick in tied eighth place having shot a two-under-par 70, five shots off the over-night leader David James.

Sell went out on the first day in 36 after dropping a shot on the par-four second hole but recovered with a birdie on the par-five seventh.

The 35-year-old again dropped a shot on the par-four fourteenth but finished strongly to birdie three of the last four holes.

On day two Sell went out in 34 with consecutive birdies on the par-three fifth and par-four fifth.

Sell continued his good form on the back nine and birdied holes 11,15, 16 and 17. A bogey at the par-three was 12 the only blotch on his scorecard.

Sell finished his round and went in as the clubhouse leader but despite over-night leader David James hitting two-over-par, Welshman Mark Laskey hit a bogey free six-under-par to take the victory and leave Sell in tied-third place behind Jack Hiluta.

Fellow Wrag Barn pro Josh Loughrey will be teeing off in the Alps Tour on Thursday in the four-day Citadelle Trophy International.
