CLIVE Bennett has agreed to remain as Cirencester Seniors captain for another 12 months at the club’s annual meeting.
The prizes for the Seniors major competitions were awarded to 12 different members.
The seniors champion was David Clarke with a gross score of 79, and the singles knockout was won by Rodney Williams.
The pairs knockout was won by David Walters and David Clarke.
Other winners were Ian Hunter -singles plate, Martin Harrison – Bill Burn Trophy, Ken Anderson – Golfer of the Year, Geoff Knight – Spring Meeting.
The Summer Stablefords (best 3 of 4) were won by Colin Hayes & John Morris with 109 points, third was John Binder with a very close 108 points, and fourth equal were Mike Bond, Martin Harrison, and Robert Tweedale just one point behind.
