DAVID Howell faltered on the third day of the the World Tour Championships in Dubai.

The Broome Manor Pro started the day tied 10th but fell back to 26th place after a round with five bogeys and four birdies. Things started well for Howell with a birdie at the second but he quickly dropped that shot and another at six before pulling it back at seven.

On the back nine Howell bogeyed 10, 12 and 14. He did intersperse a two more birdies at 13 and 17 to end the round five under for the tournament.
