DAVID Howell has once again produced a strong second nine holes at the Shenzhen International.
The Broome Manor pro finished the second day at the Genzon Golf Club two-under-par for the round and three-under overall.
Following on from yesterday’s round of 71, Howell birdied the opening two holes in China before a double-bogey six on the fifth, followed by a bogey four and a birdie four on holes eight and nine, saw him go out in level par.
The Swindon ace then banished yesterday’s demons of the 13th hole, in which he scored a triple-bogey eight, with a birdie four to put him one-under.
However, the 39-year-old then had a bogey five on the following hole before recovering with a birdie two on 16 and a birdie on 18, which sees Howell go into tomorrow’s third round in a good position.
