DAVID Howell produced his best round of the week so far at the Shenzhen International this morning.
The Broome Manor pro began the week in China with a round of 71 and then yesterday he went around the Genzon Golf Club in 70 to leave him three-under-par going into the weekend.
The Swindon ace, despite a double bogey six on hole one, recorded a fine three-under-par 69 today to move him up to tied 13th going into tomorrow's final round.
After his double bogey, the 39-year-old then picked up shots on holes two, seven and nine to go out in a one-under 35.
Howell then picked up a birdie two on 12, before his second birdie of the week on 13.
He then hit his second birdie two of the round on 16 before a bogey six saw him come home in 34.
Howell's overall six-under-par leaves him six shots behind leader Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand, but just one off a top 10 finish.
