SWINDON claimed a well-earned point in their 1-1 draw with West Wilts in Conference North.

After a cagey opening from both teams, Thomas Hunt gave the ball away at the top of the circle and West Wilts punished his mistake to take an early lead.

In the second half, Swindon created a number of chances but none were taken until 10 minutes from time as Luke Cejer played the ball into Jim Towers near the top of the circle, his touch deceived the defence, and that granted Thomas Lentschner the opportunity he needed, smashing the ball home on the reverse.

Swindon were then unlucky not to go on and win the game as some good movement from Lentschner saw him play in Tom Goldsmith but his shot was well-saved.

Lentschner then fired wide after he met a pass from Towers, while Phil Scarisbrick also hit the post.
