SWINDON men’s first team will go into the second half of their Conference North campaign on the back of a thumping 9-0 success over Leominster.

Phil Scarisbrick bagged the opening goal before Thomas Lentschner doubled Swindon’s lead.

Lentschner added a third for the hosts as they took a 3-0 lead into the interval.

Ian Hazell made his first team debut at right back and grew into the game in the absence of the injured Tom Goldsmith.

The start of the second half saw Swindon take their foot off the gas momentarily, but veteran all star Alan Gough proved he’s still number one with a string of excellent saves to keep the Herefordshire side at bay.

Lentschner’s day got better, as he picked up another couple of goals.

Andy McGreggor added a goal following a great square pass from Luke Cejer.

Nathan Richards returned to action for Swindon and scored an excellent goal following another fantastic pass from Cejer.

With moments left, Swindon completed the rout with another excellent team goal.

Jim Towers received a pass at the top of the circle and played in Chris Parsons, who hit the post.

Lentschner then found himself in the right place again to score Swindon’s ninth and his sixth.
