SWINDON failed to build on a strong first-half performance and were forced to settle for a share of the spoils after they allowed a two-goal lead to slip against Devizes.

In their final home fixture of the season in the Conference North division, the hosts went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Tom Lentchner and Chris Parsons.

Swindon were in the driving seat for the majority of the first period but Devizes got back to within a single goal on the stroke of half-time by converting from a penalty corner.

Devizes roared out of the blocks in the second period and put Swindon under the cosh before smashing home to level things up.

The hosts quickly restored their lead, with Tom Goldsmith netting from close range, but any hopes Swindon had of taking all three points were dashed inside the final 10 minutes as the visitors again came back.

Poor decision-making from the Swindon defence cost them dear, Devizes snatching an equaliser before the home team then failed to convert a last-gasp penalty corner.
