SWINDON men maintained their slim hopes of promotion from Conference North following a 6-0 thrashing of Whitchurch A.

Despite taking control from the start, it took the visitors 12 minutes to open the scoring in Cardiff, with Tom Wickens on target before captain Tom Goldsmith doubled the lead.

After the interval, Wickens went on to complete his hat-trick, while Goldsmith netted a second and Luke Cejer completed the scoring.

Bath scored early when a straight strike from a penalty corner found the net.

Swindon held firm for the rest of the half and created a number of opportunities to level the scores.

However, after the break, Bath doubled their lead from another shot corner before going on to take advantage of a tiring Swindon side to score four goals from open play.
