MICHAL Kapicka is set to make his comeback for Wildcats this weekend and head coach Ryan Aldridge is confident he is fully fit.

Kapicka has missed the last two EPL games with a knee problem and while Aldridge revealed the Czech import could have played against Guildford on Wednesday, he was rested on medical advice.

Now the 26-year-old goal-getter is poised to return for the double-header against MK L*****ing, starting at the Link Centre tomorrow (5.45pm).

“We rested him (against Guildford), we probably could have asked him to play but the physio said it would be best to wait another three days,” said Aldridge.

“We need him for the weekend and if he had played at Guildford it could have made the injury worse, so we made the decision to wait.

“It’s going to be a huge weekend points-wise, Milton Keynes are right around where we are in the league and they have two games in hand.

“They are in a bit of a slump right now and we’ve got to take advantage. They will come out all guns blazing but we’ve got to match that.”

D-man Shane Moore is still struggling with a foot problem and is a doubt, while netminder Tom Murdy’s long lay-off continues.

Swindon skipper Aaron Nell is hopeful that his team will build on their morale-boosting victory over the Flames when they meet MK.

Nell, who fired a hat-trick in the 5-4 victory at the Spectrum, admitted confidence had been damaged by six straight defeats prior to Wednesday’s win, but believes the result could turn things round.

He said: "Milton Keynes are a really good team and it's going to be another really tough weekend. There's no easy games in this league, but hopefully this result will give us a bit of confidence because we were down and thinking, ‘when is the next win going to come?’

"We were on a bit of a run and everyone knew that and we knew that.

"Hopefully we can take the Guildford performance into the home game on Saturday because we need to perform better for the home fans."

Meanwhile, Swindon have earmarked their home fixture with Telford on Saturday, November 10 (face-off 5.45pm) to raise money for their Wildcats in the Community programme.

JACK FM breakfast show presenter Ben Atkinson will be present and Wildcats will wear a limited edition blue jersey, with each one being auctioned to the highest bidder after the game.

Nell, who is Swindon’s community development officer, said: “It’s going to be a great event and all the players are looking forward to raising funds for the club’s community programme, which plays an important role throughout Swindon.

“All the money raised will go towards purchasing new helmets and other hockey equipment that we loan to each participant on our various community activities, so we’re hoping that the fans get behind us and bring along friends and family to help raise as much money as we can.

“The shirts will be real collectors’ items and should appeal to the fans and will make a great Christmas gift for any Wildcats supporter.”
