WILDCATS might be bang in form at the moment but head coach Ryan Aldridge has warned his side not to take their foot off the pedal.

The Link Centre supremo has witnessed his side pick up points in each of their last five EPL games, giving them seven points out of a possible 10.

That run has brought Swindon to within touching distance of the top half of the table, although they are still in reach of Sheffield and Peterborough below them.

And with only one game this weekend, at home to Milton Keynes on Sunday, Aldridge has stressed the importance of maintaining momentum.

“The top half is where we should be, we built the team to be there and we’re hitting form at the right time,” he said.

“We only have one game this weekend, so teams have a chance to catch us up and it’s important we don’t let that happen.

“We know if we lose the game we don’t have the chance to get those points back.

“The last two games for me have been a bit of a turning point, coming back the way we did in Manchester and then playing great on Saturday (also against Manchester).

“I think we probably made three big errors on Saturday but they didn’t cost us and generally the guys are sticking to the system a lot more.

“I also think the focus and concentration has been there for longer, especially later on in games where we hit the panic button before.”

Aldridge is dealing with mixed news regarding his forward players, with two available again and two looking set to miss out.

Matias Perkkio will return to the ice following injury while Sam Bullas is set to come back after being unavailable last weekend. Nicky Watt is unlikely to play while Jamie Hayes is rated touch and go.

Recovering netminder Tom Murdy is probably still another week away from his long-awaited first appearance of the season.

Meanwhile, Wildcats are running their Kids Go Free promotion for Sunday’s Milton Keynes game, in an attempt to get more fans through the door.
