AARON Nell has warned fans ‘writing off’ Swindon that there is plenty more to come from the Wildcats yet.

The 23-year-old skipper says Swindon have the strongest team in recent memory and played down the impact of the departures of Michal Kapicka, Nicky Watt and Chris Jones this season.

Ryan Aldridge’s troops currently lie sixth in the EPL table and are well on course to qualify for the end-of-season play-offs.

And forward Nell, who is joint top points scorer in the league alongside teammate Jonas Hoog, said: “With all the publicity we’ve had with people leaving and injuries, this is by far the best start we’ve ever had.

“Everyone’s happy, we’ve got a very tight group. I think a lot of the people writing us off are our own fans.

“Nicky (Watt) leaves and Jonesy (Chris Jones) leaves and people probably think we’re done, but there is a long way for us to go.

“We’re going to get better, go hard for the rest of the year and hopefully have a good play-offs.”

Swindon host Manchester at the Link Centre tonight (5.45pm) and travel to Bracknell tomorrow (6pm).
