RYAN Aldridge expects a much-improved Telford to turn out at the Link Centre tomorrow after the Shropshire team brought in two marquee signings.

Finn Timo Kuuluvainen has joined from HCK Mestis in his homeland while fellow wing Adam Walker - a former Swindon player - has come in from Elite League Braehead.

Telford might have struggled in the EPL in recent seasons but head coach Aldridge is confident that the Tigers are on an upward curve.

“Those two players change that side, there’s no doubt about it,” he said.

“We’ve got to work hard because the thing with Telford is they don’t stop working from the minute they start to the minute they finish.

“When you add a bit more talent into that, it’s going to change the hockey team.

“They have a British import that can score and have a solid import, so they will be good.

“I think it’s great for Tom Watkins (player-coach), he and Telford as a whole fully deserve it, but we’ve got to be prepared to play on Saturday night because it’s not going to be an easy task.”

Frustrated by hot-and-cold displays from certain players, Aldridge’s resolve to bring in new blood has not weakened.

“I’m still actively looking. We’ve got to change things, we know there are areas that aren’t giving us what we’re expecting,” he said.

“The tough thing is that you see in spells what guys can offer, but we’re not getting that out of them every night.

“It’s finding out who’s going to play with who, because one night one line is playing great together and then the next night they don’t do anything.

“That’s the frustrating part for me.”
