WILDCATS have got to play at the same intensity for the full 60 minutes if they are to achieve success this season, according to forward Sam Bullas.

Swindon were punished for their slow start away to Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday and, despite dominating possession they were unable to find a way back into the game as they lost on the road for the first time.

Ryan Aldridge’s side head to Telford tonight and Bullas is confident that the Link Centre side will return to winning ways if they start well.

“We’ve got to recuperate now, we have a massive game (tonight) and we have got to take it to Telford and get the victory,” he said.

“We’ll sit down and have a chat and talk about how we will approach it.

“Away at Telford, they have a new set-up this season and have a lot of new guys so it is going to be a different team from last year.

“We have got to take every game as we do and don’t ever give them too much respect.

“(We will) give them enough respect to go and play but we should be all right and we should go there and get a win hopefully.

“We can’t keep leaving games to the third period to try and win one, we’ve got to make sure we play the full 60 minutes, not 20 or 30 minutes.

“We’re doing well after a Guildford win and Manchester win. They are two top teams so that is always nice but we have to be winning these games (against Sheffield) and not just the big games.”

On Friday, the players had a meeting to pick the captain and Bullas said it was almost a unanimous decision to name Czech forward Jan Kostal.

“He is a great guy and he was my vote 100 per cent and I think he was nearly everyone’s vote, I heard it was very decisive,” he added.

“He is such a great guy and great leader and he is always helping guys out and he is a great idol for me and the other boys. I wouldn’t want anyone else in this team as captain and he can lead us to great things this year hopefully.”
