WILDCATS’ Callum Buglass, Floyd Taylor and Ollie Betteridge, along with a number of Okanagan Academy youngsters, helped Great Britain under 20s to secure World Championship gold yesterday.

GB overcame Korea in a penalty shootout after the final ended 4-4 in regulation time.

The GB youngsters, coached by former Swindon bench man Pete Russel, took the prize that sees them promoted to World Championship Division 1B.

GB had to come back from a goal down twice before twice taking the lead themselves but allowed the Koreans to force a scoreless over time with a late leveller.

Milton Keynes’ man Jordan Cownie was the hero as he netted the decisive penalty shot.
