SWINDON Wildcats head coach Ryan Aldridge admits he does not know what Milton Keynes Lightning side will show up at the Link Centre tomorrow night.

Nick Poole’s side sit in the last of the play-off spots but Aldridge is not underestimating the side that the Cats have had a lot of success over this year, beating them five times out of six.

MK Lightning will have a new addition to their squad since the last time Swindon played them in the shape of Canadian forward Curtis Huppe.

Huppe, who signed at the end of January, will pose a big threat for Stevie Lyle in goal having scored 135 points in 85 games for Guildford Flames in 2011 before moving to the Elite League with Belfast Giants.

The 35-year-old is hoping to fire Lightning up the league on the run in to the end of the season and Aldridge has said that his men must be fully prepared for a side desperate to pick up two points.

“I think Nick Poole came out this week and said it was a critical time for them, this time of year, you know the next few games and it is,” said Aldridge.

“They’re a team that have under-achieved. They normally over-achieve and they have under-achieved so far and they have addressed the problems.

“They have just made a change as well so it will be interesting to see the new guy.

“They brought in an import. They released a guy and brought a new guy in.

“Hopefully we can do the same as we did on Saturday night and get a win.”

The last time the two sides met Aldridge’s men secured a 100 per cent road record at the Thunderdome as they followed up a 3-2 overtime success and dominant 11-3 triumph with a third success of the season away at Lightning.

Swindon were forced to dig deep in the third and final period as they saw a two-goal lead clawed back by the hosts to make it 3-3 but in the end the visitors ran out comfortable 6-3 winners.
