AARON Nell has been selected in the English Premier League all-star first team.

Following an impressive campaign for the Swindon Wildcats, the 25-year-old forward, who netted 33 times in 37 appearances, has been picked alongside five players from regular season champions Telford in the all-star first-team.

Wildcats netminder and coach-in-waiting Stevie Lyle was named in the all-star second team, with the end-of-season awards voted for by Ice Hockey Journalists UK.

Telford’s Slovakian import Peter Szabo was named player of the year whilst Peterborough Phantoms coach Slava Koulikov was handed the coach of the year gong.

Nell was also celebrating on a personal level last weekend after earning a call-up to the Great Britain Senior Prospects squad but the Swindon man’s club season was brought to an end as the Wildcats were knocked out of the play-off quarter-finals by the Peterborough.
