SWINDON-based Okanagan Hockey Academy have announced that eight players will be returning for the 2016-17 season.

Jordan Kelsall and Balint Pakozdi are back for their fourth years, Kyle Landells returns for a third-term and Mikey Power, Deakan Fielder, Ilija Kolosnicins, Matthew Byron and Ethan Mayoh have all signed on for a second year.

All eight players enjoyed a successful 2015-16 campaign and played their part in OHA landing two trophies, with Kelsall racking up an impressive haul of 81 points in 43 games, while Pakozdi notched 76 points in 41 games.

Okanagan head coach Ryan Aldridge is now looking for more of the same from the octet next season having secured their signatures.

“I’m very excited. There are a lot of faces coming back and they are all guys I really like working with,” he said.

“They’ve got the rest of this year to finish off with their exams and they will then go and enjoy their summer and hopefully do their programmes in the gym.

“But it is back to square one again next season and some of those boys are going into their last year, so hopefully they progress on to bigger and better things.”
