DEFENCEMAN Harvey Stead has rejoined Bracknell Bees after leaving the Swindon Wildcats.

After making the switch to the Link Centre last term, the 20-year-old Great Britain U20 international featured 53 times for Cats, racking up five assists, but Reading-born Stead has linked back up with his local team.

Wildcats head coach Aaron Nell has already added import Mark Smith to his defensive options this summer, whilst also promoting youngsters Ben Nethersell and Kyle Smith to his EPL roster.

Meanwhile, Bracknell chief Lukas Smital is delighted to have Stead signed on for next season.

He said: “I am happy to have Harvey back at Bracknell with the Bees.

“Despite his relatively young age, he is a solid defenceman, who stays calm and out of the penalty box.

“He is still a developing player but with another years’ experience gained at Swindon last season, he is keen to be back at The Hive to continue his progress.

“I’m very happy with his addition to the defensive corps of the squad and I look forward to working with him again.”
