FIRST of all, let me use this platform to say thank you to the club and the fans for having me. I am happy to be here.

I was joking before that Swindon is the closest place to Cardiff and the reason for my move.

That was a big part of my decision coming here but the main thing is what I know and what I have heard about Swindon as a club.

I know quite a few guys in the squad, which also was part of my decision, coming in to a familiar situation.

I haven’t heard a bad thing about Swindon so when the option became available, I grabbed it with both hands.

So far, Aaron and Steve Nell have given me every tool possible to succeed in this club and help this club and hopefully be a vital part of the jigsaw they are talking about.

From me even playing in Cardiff, when I looked at the EPL, I had been told from pretty much every person that Swindon were one of the best, if not the best, organisations to play for in this league.

As an import, there is absolutely pressure on my shoulders to perform this season.

That comes with the job. You go to a new job or you get promoted and big pressure comes with new responsibilities.

I am used to that. I have played this sport professionally for 15 years, so I am not a stranger to that pressure.

I am excited by the squad I am going to be playing with. It looks strong on paper.

I mean, every team can say all the clichés they want in pre-season but it is that moment when the first drop of the puck happens and you start getting your wins under your belt and you start getting in the rhythm – you can tell then whether we can do something special this year.

Now, with the season starting this weekend, it is time for us to go out there and deliver the goods.

As long as we can do our best, there is nothing else people can ask for.
