It’s been a while since we had our normal weekend routine but I for one am looking forward to having two games this weekend.

After a disappointing result at the weekend we have had Sunday off so we’ve had a long time to rest, lick our wounds and think about how we are going to get back to winning ways again.

We can think of all the excuses in the world, with injuries and other things, but to get out of a rut we need to work collectively.

We need to do what we’ve done in the previous couple of months when the system was firing everybody was doing their job, now we have to go above and beyond and pick up the slack.

We are going to have one on one meetings with coaches and ownership to go over what is expected of us to help turn things around.

It’s the right thing to do when you go on a losing streak perhaps you need a reminder of what you should be doing or what you could be doing better.

From my experience you need to do a little bit more than your usual role to get out of a rut like this, so we will be asked if we have any ideas on how we can turn things around.

Normally with Aaron Nell and Steve Nell it is an open conversation so suggestions are always welcome and I think they’re looking for other guys to pitch in with ideas to help.

We can’t go back to winning ways without changing things, I’m not saying we have negatives but sometimes you need to have conversations to say what we are going to do not just keep digging a hole.

The new additions had to be made because we were really short but I was surprised by the additions but they have panned out really well.

These two additions we have made in Matt Selby and Ryan Aldridge have helped up out tremendously so we are glad to see them.

We’ve got a couple of training sessions now so we are all going to come up with something and try it from there and we will keep doing that until we get it right.

We definitely owe Sheffield a game because out of all the games we have lost that is the one we didn’t perform, but we won’t look ahead to Sunday until after Saturday but we need to pick up wins.
