MY New Year resolution for Swindon Wildcats is a simple one, more of the same please.

We recently had a big meeting where we sat down and said that we have got to stop saying things and have got to start doing them.

We need everyone on the night to step up and in the last four games, everyone has done what they promised and it shows.

We have had a couple of really good weekends, especially earlier this week when we were right in it on Monday just came out on the losing end and then Tuesday was the complete performance.

We shut Basingstoke down and dominated them physically and it was very pleasing.

That's the way Aaron built his team, even in the beginning of the year, and that is one of the reasons he brought me in, he wanted to be a little bit bigger and more physical.

When we had this meeting we said, ‘not only the physical guys need to be doing this job, when we are short-handed, everyone needs to do more’.

You saw that on Tuesday, even the guys who don’t normally throw hits were throwing hits and they went outside their comfort zone and provided an extra element to the side.

Everyone stepped up and everyone pitched in and that is how you succeed in a team sport. If one chain link falls out, then the whole system breaks down and that is when we have losses.

We did leave a lot out there on Monday and Tuesday and with it being a shorter week, Aaron has given us an extra day’s rest and hopefully that will reflect on Saturday.

We will have a training session tonight and come up with a plan for the upcoming games but I think Aaron has been happy with our performances in the last few games and now we need to keep taking strides forward.

We have the winning recipe so we have to make sure we keep those ingredients in and we have got to make sure every single person shows up – that’s all we can ask for and there is no reason why we can’t have a successful rest of the season.

On Tuesday night we had a skate with the fans after the game which was a nice way to mark the festive period.

It is nice for fans to get closer to players and say hello and shake their hand and for us to say thanks to them.

We want to give back as much as we can and it is a situation where everyone wins.
