SWINDON Wildcats made it four perfect weekends in a row when they completed back-to-back victories over Telford Tigers in the Autumn Cup this evening.

Having beaten the Tigers 2-1 on home ice on Saturday night, Aaron Nell’s side went one better in Shropshire by claiming a 3-1 triumph.

Sunday’s success continues the Cats’ storming start to the new season, with the team having claimed nine wins from their opening 10 games in all competitions, and puts them in control of their Autumn Trophy group alongside their lofty league standing in NIHL South One.

Swindon were forced to come from behind to take the points in Telford, with Jason Silverthorn grabbing the only goal of the first period for the home side.

Again there was only a single strike served up in the second period, with player-coach Nell netting for the Cats to level the scores.

Swindon were able to raise their game in the third period and Floyd Taylor fired them ahead before Stevie Whitfield wrapped up the win in the final minute.
