SWINDON Wildcats wrapped up a five-star weekend as they comprehensively crushed hosts Milton Keynes Thunder 5-0 tonight.
The visitors, 5-4 winners over Bracknell Bees on Saturday night, were two goals to the good in the first period as Edgars Bebris struck, assisted by Max Birbraer and Deakan Fielder before player-coach Nell found the net, Jan Kostal providing the assist.
Joseph Hazeldine struck a third midway through the second period, Phil Hill with the assist before the same two players combined to tee up Floyd Taylor to add a fourth soon after, Sam Bullas and Thunder’s Grant McPherson taking penalties for roughing.
Kostal, assisted by Nell, wrapped up the scoring at 51:51 in the final period for the away side as a late tripping penalty on Luc Johnson made little difference for Nell’s men.
