Phoenix opener for Wildcats

SWINDON Wildcats will open their season with a baptism of fire against last season’s English Premier League runners up Manchester Phoenix.

The home game at the Link Centre on September 15 is a joint league and cup fixture, and is quickly followed the following night by a trip to the Sheffield Steeldogs.

Champions Guildford Heat visit the Link Centre on October 6, while the Cats host Peterborough Phantoms in an exciting Boxing Day fixture.

A visit to Guildford will see in 2013 on New Year’s Day, and the Wildcats finish the 54-game regular season at Basingstoke on March 13.
