LAWN’S Regional League Two squad had a tight match against Jupiter on the weekend, a fine effort from Lawn’s goal defence Naomi Watts helping them to secure a 47-46 win.

In Division Three of the Swindon & District Netball Association League, undefeated Lawn C were victorious against Raychem D who are just two places behind them in the table, thanks to a player of the match effort from goal keeper Charlotte Clinton.

Lawn B managed a 36-29 win over Pinehurst, wing attack Sam Thompson earning player of the match.

Lawn’s A, D and E team lost their matches to Raychem A, undefeated Wootton Bassett A and Coleview respectively.

In the Over 35s league, Lawn’s team continued their dominance with a 29-23 win against Abbey Meads, goal keeper Kate Dawson being awarded player of the match.

Nationwide C took on Moredon C, getting off to a strong start and 10-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and eventually winning 27-20 with Nationwide centre Louise Giles the player of the match.

Nationwide A lost to Croft A in Division One (32-22) and Nationwide B lost to Fairford A in Division Two (48-22).

In Division Five, Fairford C took on Abbey Meads F and managed to secure the win, 31-14, with goal defence Liberty Slowly the player of match.

Lawn’s Under 16 regional squad started their first regional matches at Clifton College in Bristol, taking on Cornwall Saints and winning 49-29. Against Bath, despite trailing by just one goal at the end of the third quarter, they lost out 37-35.
