RAYCHEM managed four wins and two losses in the Swindon & District League at the weekend.

Raychem C defeated Moredon B, goal defence Charley Hudson making some good interceptions to win the player of the match accolade in a 42-20 victory.

The D team also took on a Moredon C side, with wing attack Dani Anderson earning the player of the match award following her return from west Africa dealing with the Ebola outbreak as her side won 39-13.

In a top-of-the-table clash, Raychem A took on Razzle Dazzle in Division One, edging home 58-52.

Raychem B lost out to Nationwide A 48-45.

In Division Four, Raychem E lost to Wootton Bassett B 39-22 but Raychem F remain unbeaten in Division Five and sit on top of the table after they beat Fairford C 53-15.

Nationwide C played Division Three leaders Jets A, who they had beaten at the start of the season, but Jets held sway on this occasion to secure a 26-16 triumph.

Nationwide’s goal attack Sian Corbyn was named player of the match.

Lawn C continued their winning streak in Division Three with another victory over Abbey Meads C, this time running out 57-15 winners, with wing attack Amy Dodson earning the player of the match gong.

There was a 26-18 victory for Lawn D over Delta Reds C, with fine shooting from goal attack and player of the match Courtney Arnold.

Lawn A and Lawn B weren’t so lucky, the latter remaining third in Division Two after a 50-34 loss to Pinehurst, while the former lost out 42-30 to Croft A.

  • LAWN’S Under 16 squad travelled to Bournemouth this weekend to continue their Nationals campaign.

Taking on Jersey Jets, they were edged out 36-30.

The club’s under 14 regional squad defeated Devizes 36-13.
