DELTA Reds A took on Moredon A in Division One, having not beaten them in the last two seasons, but stayed ahead in all four quarters to win 59-54, thanks to some fine defence from Genevieve Sweeney, Nikki Fisher and Louise O’Leary.

Pinehurst A kept an experienced Razzle Dazzle under pressure throughout their game, losing out 45-39.

In Division Two another inter-club battle took place between Pinehurst’s B and C teams, with the B team winning 64-36. Wing defence Hayley Jefferies was named player of the match, with goal keeper Rebecca Pinnock taking the C team honours.

Having lost their earlier meeting against Raychem D, Delta Reds B proved a force to be reckoned with in Division Three, Sarah Bartholomew being named player of the match in their 49-34 win and Denise Greenberg and Shannon Hewes both playing up from the C team.

An inter-club battle for league leaders Raychem A saw them defeat their B team 67-42.

Nationwide B played Raychem C, having previously lost to them by 22 goals but were 10 goals up at half-time and went on to win 49-25, Effie Bond being awarded player of the match.

Nationwide C had lost by two goals in their previous match against Croft C, but triumphed in the return 16-13, with both defences on top.

Lawn A fought a close battle with Nationwide A, edging home 38-37 with goal attack Macy Dawson named player of the match.

Nationwide’s regional team took on local rivals Devizes, having lost their home match to them by one goal before Christmas.

Trailing by a goal at half-time, changes to the Nationwide line-up allowed them to pull clear to win 56-46.

Pinehurst Netball Club continued their promising start to the year, their regional side defeating local rivals Abbey Meads 54-31, with goal attack Ellie Swatridge the player of the match.

Pinehurst D, who lost by three the last time they faced Lawn D, won 33-29 on this occasion.

In the Swindon Junior League, Pinehurst Under 12s defeated Fairford 11-7, but the Under 13s lost to league leaders Raychem A.

Lawn Under 16s regional squad travelled to Bournemouth for their next match, playing some strong and fluid netball to take a 32-23 win.
