LAWN B took on Pinehurst C in windy conditions in Division Two, taking a two-goal lead in the first quarter.

Neav Ingram earned herself the player of the match award as Lawn B surged ahead to a 43-25 success.

Division Three leaders Lawn C fought hard against Raychem D with great defensive play and some good drives from centre Mollie Bourton, who was named player of the match, Lawn winning 49- 30.

In the clash between the C teams of Nationwide and Moredon, Nationwide were on fine form and played a consistent game, scoring five goals in each of the first, second and third quarters.

But Moredon managed to retain a lead as both teams’ defensive performances kept the game close and pushed ahead in the final quarter to secure a 25-18 success.

In the top flight, Lawn A took on leaders Raychem but were downed 54-38.

Lawn’s D team lost 35-17 to unbeaten Division Four leaders Wootton Bassett, despite some good interceptions from goalkeeper Florrie Green.

In Division Five, Lawn E lost to Coleview 27-16.

  • LAWN took on local rivals Pinehurst in Regional League Two, with the sides locked at 19-19 after the second quarter.

Lawn took a two-goal lead in the third, with goalkeeper Amy Beales working hard, but Pinehurst came through to win 41-35, with Lawn’s wing attack Sophie Bull player of the match.

Lawn’s over 35’s beat Abbey Meads 40-21 to win their league with an unbeaten campaign. Goalkeeper Kate Dawson was player of the match.

Lawn’s Under 16 regional squad travelled to Plymouth to take on Hucclecote and Old Chelts in double-header matches, losing a tight battle with Hucclecote 48-43 before responding with a 49-37 win over Old Chelts.
