DIVISION One champions Raychem A wrapped up their campaign with a 65-51 success over a Burmah A side chasing a place in the top three.

Burmah started well but Raychem were 14-12 up by the end of the first quarter.

They went into half-time 34-22 ahead, consolidating it at 48-38 at the end of the third, despite a flurry of Burmah goals and secured a comfortable win.

Raychem B fared less well in their final match, going down 52-29 to Croft A.

Moredon A were 56-46 winners over their Lawn counterparts, Holly Thompson’s accurate shooting from distance earning her Lawn’s player of the match honours.

In Division Two, Lawn B never recovered from a poor start in the first quarter against Fairford.

Despite accurate shooting from goal attack Chloe Dodgson, Fairford crept further clear to a 55-37 win, Lawn’s goal defence Sandra Wright being player of the match.

Raychem D were also defeated by Croft in Division Three, losing 35-30 to the C team, with Lucy Hudson named player of the match.

Nationwide C gained revenge over their Burmah counterparts, having previously lost by nine goals to Burmah C, securing a 29-22 success.

Lawn C beat Abbey Meads D 51-11 to clinch the divisional title and promotion, goal shooter Lynn Palmer being player of the match.

Wootton Bassett Netball Club won both of their final matches of the season and have been granted permission to be known as Royal Wootton Bassett Netball Club.

The A team, already the Division Four champions, wrapped up their campaign with a 33-29 success over Faringdon.

Bassett’s B team secured fourth place in the table as they defeated bottom side Ferndale, who could field only six players, 56-10.

Goalkeeper Florrie Green was player of the match as Lawn D were edged 36-34 by Jets B.

In Division Five, Raychem F won 47-28 against Croft E, Belle Walker earning the player of the match award.

Meanwhile, Lawn’s Regional League Two squad lost out 52-41 to Premier Romans, goalkeeper Maddie Durham earning player of the match honours, while captain Sandra Wright’s Lawn’s Over 35s finished their season as league winners for the sixth time out of seven years.

n WOOTTON Bassett Under 13s, playing in their first season in the Swindon Junior League, clinched a 14-13 win over Raychem U13 B, despite only having six players, Maisie King scoring all of their goals.
