PINEHURST B took an early lead against Razzle Dazzle in Division One of the Swindon & District Winter League and maintained it throughout.

Having only been promoted this season, Pinehurst B are now third in the table after a 30-27 triumph, with their player of the match being Rosie Rusga (centre), who shone in her first game back from injury.

In Division Two, Fairford A avenged an earlier 51-36 defeat to Burmah B by nudging home 42-39.

Nationwide C continued their winning streak with a stellar performance against Purton A in Division Three.

At their previous meeting, Nationwide C had lost 33-14, but goal shooter Georgina Brain, goal attack Charlotte Webb and centre Louise Giles ensured a seven-goal lead by the end of the first quarter.

Purton stepped up their performance, but Nationwide managed to hold on to secure a 38-31 win. Nationwide’s player of the match went to Charlotte Webb, with Purton’s being awarded to goal attack Della Hunt.

Royal Wootton Bassett A and Raychem D met in a top-of-the-table clash, with Raychem edging it 45-42, although Bassett retain their leadership on goal difference.

Bassett’s player of the match was Caroline Beard (wing attack).

In Division Five, Lawn E wrapped up a 41-17 success against Abbey Meads C.

Erin Rawlins had an outstanding match for Lawn, racking up goal after goal to help the team stay ahead throughout the four quarters and earning player of the match honours. Goalkeeper Kavee Pack was player of the match for Meads.

Royal Wootton Bassett C were 56-16 winners over Moredon C, goal attack George King their player of the match.

Lawn’s Over 35s continued their undefeated form with a 32-12 success over Fairford, centre Sara Kershaw receiving player of the match honours as her side made it nine wins from nine.

In junior action, Lawn U11 A were edged out 9-8 by Moredon, with the U12s losing 23-6 to Devizes, while there was victory for the U13s against Croft.
