SUPERMARINE Ladies suffered semi-final heartbreak in the Intermediate Cup as they came off second best against Hampstead.
After pressurising the home side in the early stages, Supermarine threatened the hosts on several occasions.
Hampstead though soon pushed Supermarine back and broke the deadlock courtesy of a quick break out wide.
The hosts extended their lead either side of the break before flanker Emily Clarke charged over the whitewash for Supermarine’s first try of the day, converted by Natalie Williams.
Hampstead’s superiority eventually told as they completed a 41-7 victory and progressed to the cup final.
Supermarine take on London Welsh this weekend and will be looking to get back to winning ways.
